Bela's Shadow provides your ears with dreamy shoegaze that is at times both calming and eerie. Inter-set interview conducted by Brian K. and mixing is by Jay. Enjoy responsibly.
(Vocalist Jim outside the practice space building, moments before his "death plunge" which shattered his ankle. Let it be known that the rock n' roll lifestyle, although fabulous, is not without its risks.)
Love Parade is a local poppy psych-rock band, here performing on Buff State College's radio station shortly before the release of their album, All Together Now, in early 2008. (If anyone has the exact date, we'd love to refresh our collective memory. It was a Thursday. And probably in February.) Interview is conducted by TTH member Brian K.
Strangely, we at TTH do not have any photos of Love Parade, so we have included a couple shots taken by our friend Pam Swarts at Love Parade's CD release show in March 2008. (Linden Tea, although in attendance at that show as well, may be blamed for being more interested in sipping beerz than taking photos. Boo.) Because what's a post without some eye candy?
This is the Demetae (now going by Maitland, but Demetae at the time of the recording), a solo project combining live instrumentation and voice with loops and samples. At times folky and lo-fi, other times glitchy and IDM-y. Recorded 2/15/2007. Give it a listen!
We are a small collective of like-minded individuals dedicated to promoting the local musicians of Buffalo, NY. This project seeks to promote not only Buffalo music, but also creative works from a wider geographic range. We were all previously involved in a college radio show which showcased local music.
